Dan Barlaser

He wasn't great, not as bad as others.

I'm annoyed that they were utter dog egg and we've given them too goals and everything fell to Bola and Crooks who were awful at getting shots away in target.

Our set pieces were again, in the main, atrocious. If we had a player with the desire of Ayala to get on the end of things we start s oring from them regularly again.

I'd let Barlaser have a crack at them for the next few games.

Overall, out fought and out muscled by some workman like cloggers whose keeper we barely troubled.

Poor performance, poor subs, but nothing to fear with our more creative players back.

Oh and the Ref was a disgrace as well.

Must have been watching a different game to me.

We were by far the better team, with a much changed side.

One of their only shots in the match was from blatant cheating.

Oh we were far better, that's what I meant by we gave them two goals. Other than that they barely troubled our reserves. But we did little with our possession and good build up play. We lacked the quality of a McGree or Ramsey to be more creative.

I can understand why, but I think if Akpom and Hackney had been introduced early enough we would have gotten something out of it.

They were bang average.

Not my MOTM although thought he did ok. Howson was outstanding. Thought Djiksteel was very good as well and even thought Bola had a good game.

How was it a poor performance? Genuinely amazed someone can watch that and think our lads were poor considering the changes made and the circumstances.

It's a poor performance in that we gave them two goals (arguably the ref gave them one, but we lost the ball easily in a dangerous position).

We lost the game after being in the lead at HT, after playing well with little creativity or quality, and the subs didn’t seem to be aimed at not going on to get back in to it or to win the game.

Losing the game isn’t anything to do with the performance. We conceded from a set play after they had an energetic start to the second half, as the supposed third best team in the league at home that can happen. The second goal I’m just writing off because it’s **** poor refereeing.

Onto the performance, we dominated for large spells, Jones and Giles were outlets all night long. Howson and Lenihan largely dealt with their big forwards well. Mowatt and Barlaser controlled the pace of the game and with Archer we were always a threat.

Carrick not bringing Akpom on was not cos he didn’t want to win, he clearly feels he needs a rest and who are we to question that? If anyone knows what he needs it’s Carrick.

I’m so positive after tonight. We will win the play offs.

I thought he looked very comfortable on the ball, my only criticism would be that he didn’t get involved further up the field when we had them pinned on the edge of their box at times.

Chubz and Hackers were obviously full of good grub and Fizz last night plus journey home from that London . They just filled bench tonight . I was chatting with me auld man through the match and I told him that and was sure Rodders would get on pitch tonight before either of them . He wasn't sure but applauded me when my thoughts were made correct . Carrick wrapping big guns in cotton wool at mo . We have no need to risk them and also playing the fools game with Luton . Great coach he is . Learnt off the best remember . Been in similar situations throughout his career . I dare say he quite sure how play offs are gonna pan out ... touch wood .

His ability to turn in tight spaces when he is marked and make room for himself is excellent, and he seems to effortlessly glide past people, with a creative end product.

I know we got beat (really it was a draw as never a pen) but we had 63% posession and looked very very comfortable knocking the ball around. Jones had the measure of the right side Luton defence. Always a threat, got his mojo back,,, Watched it in Thailand on a very poor Boro Live stream which was buffering and blurred ( checked mps and a wopping 310mps) but I though we had the measure of them all over.. Nowt to fear
