Cyclists who cause road rage

Don't need much of a downhill or lack of headwind to reach 30mph, it's a lot easier than you think.
I will give it a try down Wynyard bank one day. When you go at speeds like that though, i would imagine your bike will get pretty shaky if you hit a bad bit of uneven/rough road surface.

as mentioned by Gregor it is pretty easy get over 30 mph I am not that good a cyclist but most rides I would get over 30 mph a few times even over 40 if there is decent descent and normally it is pretty smooth, depending on the road obviously

You must be using a drop bar bike, i am using a flat bar hybrid bike, that's why i must be slower.

Thats my excuse anyway.😄

Maker them pay Road Tax like drivers have to. And what about the MOBO's? And when did the SPOTY last have a personality?
Drivers of motorised vehicles last paid "Road Tax" in 1937.
It was abolished by Winston Churchill - then a Government Minister, because the Government realised that motorised road vehicle alone could not afford to pay for the costs of roads they used - and have been subsidised by the rest of us out of the Treasury ever since.

My favourite cyclists are the ones who wear the full outfits and the shoes that clip into the pedals, who like to show off how serious they are by wearing a helmet with a camera attached to it, and then when the lights are red just mount the pavement and cut across anyone who happens to be in their way. London is full of them.

Also, not sure what it's like anywhere else TBH but there are loads of cyclists in London who ride on the pavement, some of whom get annoyed with pedestrians for having the audacity to be going somewhere on foot. It's the sort of thing that really does cyclists no favours at all IMO.

I am not taking sides on cyclist v driver but sometimes the cyclist deserves all he gets
Have you seen the debris on the incomplete cycle lane?
As there is clearly a junction directly ahead, the overtaking vehicle approaching traffic lights by the driver is negligent.
Does getting to the traffic lights first mean its safe to put others at risk?
No!

Ever tried cycling round the island at Elephant and Castle?

No, I haven't. I used to live right next to that roundabout so know how busy it almost always is, even through the night. But my point about cyclists just cutting across pedestrians remains. It's almost always the most serious looking ones who do it. You're either on the road or you're not, IMO. Or if you're coming up onto the pavement because it's busy or you're in a rush then get off the bike and walk it over.

They are going to cause bloody mayhem. The rule to stop turning into a road if a pedestrian is crossing is going to cause more rear end shunts and more stop start traffic. The concept of water flow is lost on those who manage the highway code.
What do you do now, run them over?
