Crooks red card rescinded

To be fair to the ref when I saw it live I thought oh dear he is off here. When saw it 2nd time I thought yellow. First slomo was obviously it wasn't even a yellow just a foul. Referees are human too. We didn't lose at the weekend because of the ref. Warnocks rants every week are not helping us.
Yes, but if there is any doubt, you don’t do the ultimate sanction, which is to send the player off!

I agree just a foul and we played poorly overall.

I think NW is trying to use his rants as a bit of a deflection. I would do the same. An alternative is criticising our players in public which is not clever for a manager to do in my opinion. Ask Mick Brown when at Hull.

I really think we need to separate the fact that we (rightly) lost the game and the red card decision. The decision didn't affect the result this time, but it's yet another example of horrifically bad officiating, which is borne out with the stat about four of our last five reds being rescinded. We still need to see an improvement in refereeing standards so this kind of thing doesn't happen in any game, no matter what the score. And we're lucky that there's an avenue for appeals otherwise these incorrect red cards would lead to plenty of avoidable suspensions, which would make a difference to future matches.

Indeed - the fact that the video was shared on social media and the red card was rightly condemned by almost the entire football community makes those Reading players look foolish. Except it doesn't, because they don't care, their fans don't care, the authorities don't care, and nothing will be done about their playacting.
And that’s the worst part about all of this…the game is shown up by these incidents for the absolute mess it’s in with players cheating one another for 3 points and the authorities doing nothing about it and as a fan, speaking personally, I’m drifting away from the game and it’s nauseating ways

The trouble is while the officials keep getting these type of decisions wrong it gives the manager an opportunity to deflect things away from the performance. Saying that I wonder if any team has successfully overturned as many red cards as us?

I don't think it remotely effected the result. OK he may have got a last min equaliser but we'd never know.

I was more annoyed by a woeful performance and that's not down to officials. You could blame the officials if they had sent him off for that in the first half. No with 10 mins to go.

Hopefully we bring Lumley up for corners tonight😂
