Credit where it’s due- Saville.

Well he's deserved criticism to this point. He's been utter garbage and cost a fortune for this league.

That said he's been excellent recently and long may that continue. Happy to be proven wrong about him.

I agree that the criticism has been deserved to an extent. However, he did have to play left wing back for the majority of his time under Pulis and we know how useless Woodgate was with his decisions in midfield. For Christ sake, He played Wing as a deep lying playmaker in front of the defence and he got bypassed all of the time and tried to play stevie g passes all game.

I've been a critic of his, not because of his fee, but because I really have been unimpressed with his game.
But, he has scored two critical goals recently and also set the goal up yesterday.
Credit where its due, he's done much better recently and I'd love that to continue.
Warnock clearly has the knack of getting everything out of his players and getting even more out of the collective.

He’s doing very well, as they all are under Mr Warnock.

Ive always thought he can play but he lacks pace so needs to play to his strengths in the tighter areas of the pitch.

That comment above about him being a master of shxthousery is spot on, you need somebody whose good at that in the dogfight of the Championship.

Saville has been decent for most of his time here. As previously mentioned, people look at his fee and expect a world beater for some reason.

Hes a consistent 6.5 a game player. Dont recall him ever really costing us points. Seems to of added a bit of grit to his game since NW took the reins. Goals and balls in like yesterday bump him up to a consistent 7.5 / 8.

Warnock deserves credit but I think Saville made a point recently that now he’s finally being played in the positions he’s most comfortable in. He is doing well , and contributing on a regular basis.

Surely if he's being played in a position he's more comfortable with (and better suited to) that's entirely down to Warnock - Saville himself doesn't just choose where to play.

I don’t get your point? I have said Warnock deserves credit. They both do.

I think its no coincidence that players that are played in comfortable positions will always played to their potential more than being played elsewhere.

McNair has alluded to this and explained that he hated playing right back/wing under Pulis and could never get comfortable. He enjoys playing in the back 3 in the middle and can influence a game from there.

The problem is if we begin to see injuries to Sav, Howson and Morsy in the next couple of months.
