Comes across a bit rubbish this reporter. Can’t see him lasting very long if I am honest.

Warnock said he was overly harsh and labelled Johns’ depressive.
 
Reported on the mackems for a few years yeah. Apparently he’s a Man United Fan.

Warnock hasn’t held back if you manage to catch his press conference

I agree with Warnock on this one. It was a tight game, nothing much in it. Our mistake won the game for them and Chuba Akpom looked a little jaded.. maybe that was down to lack of game time, the physicality of the game or the effect of having a a pre match load up in the carbon monoxide tent.. who knows.

Onwards and upwards, we are where we are supposed to be right now with the players that we have and the order/timing of games we've been though. The squad can only get better (barring injuries) Warnock has identified areas where we need to strengthen in January which at least gives us a fighting chance. The U23s are looking in good shape with a few bubbling to the surface. Fletcher is on the mend.

I think he's actually from Guisborough, but 'supports' Man Utd. He worked for the Chronicle covering Sunderland before moving to the Gazette.

It was a strange appointment though, but I think most local papers are going this way since they were bought out by the likes of Trinity or Reach, or whoever owns the Gazette now.

Vickers has his flaws but he is head and shoulders above this guy, although I do think he's been given a bit of a poison chalice.

I wonder if it was the 'dark satanic mills' story that resulted in AV either quitting or being given his marching orders?

I assume the Gazette’s redundancy programme was in train well before that one single article was written. Irrelevant to the overall process.

Why though? It wasn’t as if he was criticising the area was it?
 
Can't fault what he said about Stoke performance it was the worst of the season. His point of view just like everyone on here and Warnock have their point of view.
