COVID v Spanish Flu

How is it a conspiracy theory? Why isn't it just a theory? Which has been discussed by leaders, scientists etc...
If you need that explaining to you, then you're already susceptible to them. OH and "disucssed by leaders" And "Donald Trump said so" aren't the same thing. You need to be better than that

it falls into the conspiracy theory category.

Although I'm not a fan of that term, to me it's a conspiracy hypothesis, "In scientific reasoning, a hypothesis is an assumption made before any research has been completed for the sake of testing. A theory on the other hand is a principle set to explain phenomena already supported by data." - There is no data to support the assertion that this was man made.

No, what has been discussed recently - at least as far as the vast, vast majority of the discussions involving government leaders and scientists, is the possibility of an accidental leak from a lab.

No reputable government leaders or scientists (that I'm aware of) have talked recently about it being "made in a lab and designed to kill."

Trump did. @Randy like others is under the impression that he is reputable. Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary

You have made an assumption about Randys beliefs that cannot be supported by the details of his post. As you like to tell others - you can do better than that (although there is little proof that this is possible).

It can be supported by the rest of the things he has come out with though.

Accidental leak is what I was talking about. That isn't a conspiracy theory.

I remember last year we were told that Covid did not like warm weather, as the temerpatures have risen in July so has the infections rate in the UK.

there’s is evidence that could point to the virus being man made. Hiv proteins have been found in the structure which pointed to a potential man made virus.

Also.

That was a hypothesis, and was presented as such, it was never presented as fact, in fact I remember Van Tam stating it as a 'working hypothesis' it was never proven because we didn't have any data to go on at that phase. It was one I argued against at the time.
