Covid and cardiovascular disease risk

Suppose the crux of the matter is then how effective are they being at getting that advice out there?

I'd say not very.
I'd say not at all.

Can't remember the last time I saw anyone with a mask. Never seen anywhere with any kind of hepa filter. Vaccinations aren't available for most of the population now and previous vaccine protection for most will have waned to the point of ineffectiveness.

I think part of the problem is from when it was published that the vaccinations themselves could cause heart problems.
Although instances of this were very rare, it was picked up on. Especially after high profile examples of young men collapsing during sporting events. Or of matches being delayed while spectators were treated.
So even now, a lot of people with 'new' heart problems are blaming the vaccine rather than Covid.

Suppose the crux of the matter is then how effective are they being at getting that advice out there?

I'd say not very. Not their fault, it really needs government ministers to be getting that message out there. Or at least a lot of money throwing at a campaign (maybe there'll be one heading towards winter. You'd hope). But of ministers won't because they're scared of it hurting them politically.
I've come into contact with a few areas of UKHSA through my work and I know they are trying to get the messages out there, but if it's not pushed by ministers it's not going to get the publicity it needs - and as you say it's not a vote winner.

It also has to be said that the public has got to want to listen to, and act on, the advice they're given, and it's patently obvious that (sweeping generalisation) they don't or won't
