Bit of an odd one. Fox suspended for his appalling comments, Wooton suspended after Fox threw him under the bus, Robinson refused to go on the Wooton show if Wooton wasn't going to be on it, Fox commends Robinson for that despite being the reason Wooton was suspended, GB New suspends Robinson.

Couldn't have happened to nicer people

The problem this lot have is that so few people of talent and substance are willing to espouse these views. That means they end up in this competency trap where the only people who they can get are liabilities.

It's just proof they're all grifters and will all eat eachother alive.
The remaining loons like Grimes, the mentalist toughest head teacher, and the Scottish geezer who who used to do history shows but now is Captain Conspiracy will save their skin after it was made clear that defending wootton means you’re out.

The channel are clearly aware that the impending Ofcom investigation will be expensive and damaging and will risk the channels existence. That’s the only reason they’re sacking people.

I wonder if they’re trying to get the station taken more seriously?

What happened to John Cleese’s slot?
Probably not. Think it’s more that they’ve found the line that can’t be crossed and are worried of being shut down.

They only keep themselves a relevant topic of conversation through controversy, they’ve not had a single hard hitting interview, funded any serious investigative journalism, broken a single noteworthy new story. They’re clickbait TV, and that’s all they have and all they ever will have. Leopards and spots

If people hate it so much ,i wonder why they watch it , not my cuppa , but i feel no inclination to turn it on at all

I occasionally flick it on as I honestly find it fascinating that anyone takes it seriously at all, it is sometimes unintentionally hilarious too. I wouldn’t say I hate it, or want it shut down. I wouldn’t lose sleep if that happened though.

I think it’s more likely the fact that the guy who owns a big stake in GB News is currently trying to buy the Daily Telegraph and would have to pass a fit and proper person test to do that.
