Coronavirus confirmed...

Good luck to you and your family WG I am sure your three little winkies will have something other than Bargain Hunt planned for their viewing

Best wishes you all WeeGord.

It's interesting re the blocked nose element as they always say that's not part of it. I do wonder whether the tests are only picking up covid or are picking up other coronavirus' too which naturally spike when the kids go back to school. My little one started his first-ever days at childcare this week, low and behold he's now got a streaming nose and sounds like a truffle pig through the night. he's too young to get tested but I do wonder what the results would come back as if he did.

How long did it take for the results @WeeGord if you dont mind me asking? We've still not heard back after the test about 5pm yesterday. They did say up to 24hrs to be fair, I just assumed it would be quite rapid so you can get yourself in isolation asap if required

I’m sure everything will be well, but sending my best wishes Gord.
Credit where it's due, after the initial hassle of getting an appointment yesterday we got the results today only 24 hours later. Unfortunately my 8 year old daughter has tested positive which was a huge shock, one of my other daughters was negative as was I.

As a result we were allowed to go to the walk-in centre in Newcastle without an appointment today where my wife and 2 other children have been tested. Hopefully they'll come back negative too and my daughter will be back on her feet in no time.

I'm critical of this government the huge majority of the time but from our own experiences it's worked very well though I understand that many others aren't as fortunate as we are. Anyhow, 14 days isolation coming up... anyone for Bargain Hunt?
Best wishes . Hope all is well.

Hi Artie, our first round of tests on Wednesday were carried out around 3pm, and we got the results at 2pm yesterday.

The other 3 tests took place around 3pm yesterday and we got the results about an hour ago and thankfully all came back negative so it’s just my youngest daughter who has it.

Hope you get your results ASAP can’t imagine they’ll take much longer. Fingers crossed for you all 🤞
