Controversial Covid post

A source quoting 54,453 excess deaths up until 9 October 2020 here

"Between Weeks 1 and 12, 138,916 deaths were registered, which was 4,822 fewer than the five-year average for these weeks. However, between Weeks 13 and 41, 334,786 deaths were registered, which was 59,275 more than the five-year average."

So using that data and that source we've normalised - the point Dr Yeadon is making?

I'k ok thanks podcast guy, I'll use the official figures cheers
The podcast guy is Dr Yeadon - do some research. to quote him -
It’s my very carefully considered opinion that THE PANDEMIC IS OVER. Without seeming immodest, I doubt there is anyone else in U.K. who has studied the pandemic more closely & has all the knowledge, experience & judgement I have in all aspects relating to this ghastly episode.

If you think his points are not valid then go over to twitter and debate with him, he doesn't resort to insulting people who do.

Is that your assertion or someone else's? Do you have a link?

I’ve got no way of being able to make that kind of assertion with any kind of authority.

That’s what Yeadon said in the video - claiming it is taught in 1st year immunology at Uni? Also said Valance et al know this

Sorry, I didn't mean to insult you - it's just getting a bit odd on here. We have people quoting a guy who is adamant the pandemic is over and holding him up as some kind of beacon of truth. I'm lost for words.

‘The Podcast Guy’ - that’s just not the right way to help the conversation here.

He knows some stuff. I’ll happily listen to him and will happily listen to to someone else who provides contra evidence.

Finny, just look what you are saying. Basically some guy on Youtube says it and says that SAGE know it. No peer reviewed evidence, and there would be if he learned this in Year 1 at Uni.

There is a reason this guy isn't getting the airtime, he's a wacko. They have them in every pandemic according to a video I saw:

Now I know I don’t need to listen to it

‘the pandemic is over’ people on the frontline decline that view with physical evidence.

Where do you get the ‘beacon of truth’ from?
I don’t see one person on this discussion who has said that.
In fact the OP was all about - this is controversial, what do you think?

There is no right or wrong here - there can’t be.
All we can do is learn as we go along and try to look for clues.

One certainty is - we will know in a week or 2 if Yeadon et al are right. If they are not we can all move on.

"He knows some stuff"

Bear & Statto have provided you with enough to show that this guy is talking out of his Harris. But like I said earlier, it's like leave and remain, it doesn't matter what's said, people have made their minds up and they aren't for changing.
