Conor Hourihane

How on earth Derby are allowed to sign a player with the undoubted wage demands (and quality) Hourihane will have, after exiting admin and writing off millions of debt to HMRC amongst other, whilst supposedly adhering to a EFL approved business plan is mind boggling.

As a derby fan this wouldn't sit well with me, having a wage bill way bigger than the majority of our divisional rivals straight after exiting administration

Bit part player for Sheffield United, very telling that they didn't sign him permanently despite him being a free agent.

I'd be surprised if it was better terms, as Huddersfield, West Brom and Luton were all interested.

It could be a similar situation to McGoldrick in that Derby are guaranteeing playing time, where championship clubs couldn't.

He was on 30k+ a week for years at Villa - Money might not be the deciding factor for every player.

Hourihane is very similar to Mcgree (who's potential is much better). Mcgree is the type of signing we should make and Hourihane probably not. Very impressive and infuriating signing for Derby though.
