Connolly and Balogun

Ikpeazu has scored 3 goals in about 100 minutes play for Cardiff i know he wasnt the answer either but certainly better stats than those 2.
But he can't play the way we want, he can't do any serious off the ball work. Our overall form would suffer if he was in the team. I don't think over a full season he would score more than Sporar, Connolly, Watmore either. Not sure on Balogun with goals

Struggling to get excited by Balogun, seems like everything he does is trying to be too clever and go for the flicks and tricks, and it's never actually leading to anything.

Connolly, as much as he needs to be doing better, is the one I always feel is more likely of the two to score.

Both need to improve though, they've had enough chances and the goal output should be better.

A good summing up.

his good footwork won the penalty and he's got 2 other assists. So 3 contributions in 429 minutes. Harsh to say it never leads to anything.

I do agree it seems more likely that Connolly will score.

Connolly was woeful again today. He is simply no good and will not score goals as long as he has a hole in his ****. Useless.

Balogun is als disappointing but zi haven’t given up on him yet. Connolly is a dead loss.

People defending these two need to give their head a shake, they are the two worst strikers on our book and I’d include Uche too. Neither of them can finish like coburn did the other night either.

If we had these two playing week in week out as our main strikers neither would get anywhere near double figures and we’d be trying to avoid being relegated. Out of the few on target shots Connolly has made 2 of them have been overhead kicks.

Doesn’t give confidence in our managers ability at spotting a good striker really given they both keep starting

Why does our manager play them? Give him a call with you knowledge of Championship management.

Yet while they have been in the side we've been winning scoring far more as a team than before 🤷‍♂️

Really, when they are both on the pitch, scoring far more?
Well I was looking at them individually.

But together, still yes, 360mins on the pitch together, exactly 4 games worth.......and 8 goals scored while on the pitch. Simple equation 2 goals a game when on the pitch. Which would have us on an extra 23 goals more than we currently have. Early days to be absolute but, yes, as a team we get more goals while they are on the pitch and it's a team game.

From what I have seen so far I don’t think that they are good enough. I was optimistic that Balagun would be a great signing and we all want all three to come good.

From what I have seen I’m not sure that we would try and bring any of the three loan signings in next year.

Coventry’s centre forward was the best I have seen in the Championship this year at the Riverside.

Would be all over signing him

Balogun has a horrid first touch at times , bounces off him & he ends up chasing the ball & physically seems to get bossed in this league , Connolly needs a goal desperately ,but does what is asked of working the legs off defenders , which is gold dust when Watmore comes on & they have a even more mobile player to chase for the last 20 mins etc . Would like to see Coburn given a go with connolly or sporar

I don't think it was good footwork, from my view, it looked a poor first touch and he fortunately got fouled immediately after it.

In Wilder I trust, everyone is contributing to our success, some more than others but its a team game and these lads are part of that.
C'mon Boro
