I think Watmore is better coming off the bench but the downside is it usually means these 2 starting.

it definitely seems to suit him. he's turning into a great impact player.

I think Wilder has lost faith in Sporar. Its a shame but i can see where he is coming from.

Balogun is far too light weight and is not ready for 1st team football at this level. Not good enough to start games for me. It’s clear he isn’t used to the physical side of the game. Also find his touch isn’t there for someone who appears to be highly rated.

Connolly not doing it really either. Huffing and puffing at this stage of the season is not what we need. End product, goals, assists, linking the play are all what we’ve come to expect from Watmore and to some extent Sporar.

In the long run we definitely need more input. It's just a case of how long you stick with this as a project

Ikpeazu has scored 3 goals in about 100 minutes play for Cardiff i know he wasnt the answer either but certainly better stats than those 2.

I think Sporar, Watmore and probably Coburn offer more than these two.

There seems to be a reasonable case for being sparing with Watmore so Balogun should fill that gap.

Me too but we’ve seen enough players to be honest with our selves with these two
It’s disappointing because we expected more however it just goes to show why goons and Brighton let them go
I’m far from convinced but they are allowing sporar and watmore a rest whilst josh develops.
If CW plays them two on Tuesday we have no chance
I’m convinced CW will play watmore and sporar from the start on Tuesday because CW sees what we see

Both played ok, Connolly worked really hard, made some good runs but the ball didn't come, two in particular where he got between the defenders but the ball was overhit, and again when Jones broke into the box and Connolly found space but Jones didn't pass to him. Unlucky with the shot flashed across goal and off the post.

Balogun, he's a box of tricks, but needs to be doing it in and around the box more than halfway line. I'd like to see him running in behind a bit more too.

We need a proper forward player. We dont have one. Both these boys try hard but playing back to goal suits neither of them. Balo should be wide in a 3 for me. Connoly probably playing off a big man. It was crazy watching him fighting with 6ft cbs today with balls over his head height.

Connelly's overhead kick was speculative and I think the only chance he had to shoot.

He had that flick from the near post that went backwards.

Balogun did well to earn the penalty

I don't know why he didn't shoot. He was trying to dribble round the 1st & imo had lost the ball into the covering defender. Another ref wouldn't have given the pen.

If a player is that small they have to be very quick and or very skill full, he is neither.

Speaking of his size, he needs to grow some longer legs, it's amazing when you see him stood next to a regular sized person how small he actually is!

Balogun,s first touch is appalling and often cuase himself to be under pressure then lose the ball.

There is a player in there, I just wonder if he is trying to do a worldie every time.

What did we make of their performances today?

Balogun did well to win the penalty but I still feel he needs to keep it simpler at times. He seems to struggle to get the ball out of his feet.

I thought Connolly improved as the game went on but a lot of the time the ball wasn't sticking up front because he'd control the ball with a heavy touch, or was just unable to hold it up. It did seem a bit nonsensical playing high balls up to him at times though. He had no chance up against their CB.

They're both working hard and you can see they're trying to link with each other but it just isn't clicking.
