The first half was too easy; 75% possession and one way traffic. Boro came out in the second half thinking it was going to be a breeze and got punished for their complacency. Carrick should have warned them at half time and told them to play more defensively for the first 15 minutes or so. or so - let Huddersfield have the ball and look to hit them on the break.
 
Results like today show that the playoffs could be a hard route.

Turn in a performance like that at Millwall or Blackburn or Coventry and it could be all over before the second leg.

Hopefully some lessons are learned and it's a fresh look against Burnley.

Think you’re over-reading it. We came out thinking the game was already won. We slacked off against a team fighting for survival. They got a bit lucky, and we got what we deserved. Carrick will remind this lot they’re not the finished article, and we’ve still got to fight for the right to party

He might have done, I’m sure he probably did. But if it layers don’t tackle properly then you let soft goals in regardless what the manager said

He did but they were too busy flicking each other with wet towels and didn't listen
