Come on Scotland!!

Terrific performance where Steve Clarke you must say got it absolutely spot on and maybe the Norwegian coach got it very wrong.

Scots played a good defensive game plan until they went behind to what was a very soft pen. But after that Scotland played really well and just needed bodies in the box to create something.

Once Haaland went off you could imagine Scotland grabbing a point but the win probably was deserved to.

Anyone think that Haaland isn’t the same player as he was last year? I mean he’s looked totally one dimensional during Citeh’s run-in and during the Cup finals.

Today Scotland, even with inexperienced CBs completely kept him in check. Definitely some task to keep him off balance but maybe the tide has changed in how opposing coaches decide how to handle him.

I too lived in Scotland but chose to ignore the hatred. Plenty of good Scots out there as well as the negative.
I've got Scottish family and worked in Aberdeen and the North Sea for 10 years. There's plenty of Scots who like to see England fail, but there's no real hate in it. I know a number of lads who quite like to see England do well. I have worked with some who genuinely dislike anything English sport related, but outside of sport are good people. That is a bit bizarre.

The Scottish view towards England teams is a self perpetuating myth. Many don't know why they want England to do badly. It's just what they've grown up around.

Great performance. A massive step forward to another group stage exit.

I'm excited about this Scotland team. After the halfway line embarrassment in Euro 2020 and celebrating a 0-0 at Wembley before meekly going out, I wonder how they'll humiliate themselves in Germany next year.

Id like to see them qualify, adds a bit more interest when watching than some of the dross that gets in the Euro's

Clarke has done a great job - getting players giving 110%. It wont last but they should enjoy it whilst its here, got a real chance of qualifying now.

I've lived here for 23 years and not had a problem.
Maybe they just hate you?
I've never had a "problem" either, but have seen plenty of vitriol both socially and online towards England when there's been a game on.

Maybe I'm just not blinkered.

I know a lot of Jocks and generally they don’t hate England but they don’t support the England football team-the general reason is due to the English press always bigging up the team ,thinking they are the greatest team and should win everything-also the British press ignoring Wales,Ireland and Scotland
