Colombo, Kojak, or?

Big fan of Columbo.

His suit apparently was a single piece of uniform rather than a separate set of coat, shirt etc.

Peter Falk was earning $300K an episode in the mid-70s which is crazy.

The Sweeney and original Taggart with Mark McManus. US series probably Kojak.
The Sweeney, was massively popular at school. So much so while wandering around the top floor of B block at the Bedes, my mate T Moor opened a door of what he thought was an empty classroom- opened the door kicked it so it swung wildly open and shouted "freeze the Sweeney - stay where you are" unfortunately the full class were gathered at the other end of the room looking at a notice board. I think I was half way down the stairs when the teacher kicked off with him.

Used to love Colombo as a kid. I saw it on Spanish TV last week, I ended up watching a couple of episodes even though I couldn't for most part understand what was being said it's great entertainment as it's so formulaic you know exactly what stage Columbo is at as well as the villain just by the expressions.
Someone left Amazon prime video on my computer, it's mostly crap but I came across Bosch which I ended up binge watching all 7 series as well as one of the spin off Bosch legacy, love it, once I realised I was on the last series, I stoped watching it so I have something to go to before they bring out another series next year.

Too many to even select from, but I loved Hutch,Rockford and Petrocelli (who never did finish building that wall).

If I was really forced to pick it would have to be Andy Sipowicz from NYPD Blue.

I sometimes refer to one of my colleagues as Columbo.

Almost every meeting without fail, you think your finished and he'll pipe up "just one more question"........

Rockford. James Garner was the coolest guy on the planet.

BTW, for Columbo fans Poker Face on Sky is a homage to it.
