Great efforts and well done to the contributors and particularly the organisers. Its heart breaking to see people scrambling about to survive in the war debris within the Ukraine - its like going back to WW2.

The generosity of Teessiders once again came to the fore over the weekend as the Middlesbrough Supporters Forum collection in aid of people of Ukraine proved a huge success.

MSF were stationed outside of the Riverside in the lead-up to Saturday's match against Luton Town to collect donations of cash and necessities for the Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal.

We're pleased to report that £3,200 in cash was collected, and three vans filled with essential items donated by Boro fans.

Thanks to everyone that donated and shared the advert far and wide. We had a fantastic response.

Lots of Luton fans contributed and we had a really good chat with those fans.

Children spending all their pocket money to buy items and then bringing them down with their parents was really heart warming.

Also the number of Teessider’s we spoke to with Ukrainian family either still in Ukraine or had fled really brought it home to what this all meant to them.

Thanks everyone
