And for the first time the club locked all car parks from 75th minute. “Safety Manager” requested it. The club don’t like the fans at the moment 😂

It's the champo! A side like boro is never far away from challenging the top 6.

I think that as fans we are a bit behind the reality, since the FFP or whatever it's called was introduced it's more of a 3 season cycle than a season by season thing.

Let's see what we do in the close season now we have a lot of capacity to spend.
 
We are still not far away - we currently can beat anyone in this league on our day and lose to anyone.

Really think today is on the manager - the set up entirely didn't work against theirs and he didn't change it.

Barlaser and O'brien can't play as a 2 in the 4231 formation.

We had our number one keeper and two strikers available today. The manager played an ever worsening Glover in goal, and seemingly McGree up front for good chunks of the first half, on top of two loan fullbacks who don't seem to be any better than our own two.

Player availability had next to nothing to do with our defeat today.

Glover to be fair was probably our MOM.
 
The root cause of the current issues is that we lost real quality in Archer and Akpom and haven’t come close to replacing either. We’ve spent too much of this season without any real firepower up front at all. Playing Crooks, Silvera, Coburn and even Lathe up front is a farce compared to what we lost. Compounding that is the lack of a decent 10 to support. It’s like we’ve just pulled those positions and expect to do ok without them.

0 shots on target today. Absolutely ridiculous.

Yeah, maybe a pinch of that too 😁.

Set up and personell was all wrong today, and as ever stoic manager stance did absolutely nothing to change it.
 
I think it's hard to accurately assess where we are due to the extensive injuries disrupting so many players seasons, but it's safe to say that we are nowhere near a playoff team. We don't play the game in a way where having a team that is compact and organised pays dividends and we don't have the quality to consistently win playing like we do. We don't defend well, we are lightweight in midfield and we are ineffective up front. Add the current lack of pace to that too.
If, as I suspect, we continue to lose any decent players we currently have and replace them with punts then we're not building, more relying on luck.
