He's just posted a highlights reel from this season starting with the words- a quote from Denzel Washington " I'm leaving here with something, you here me? You hear me, I'm from round the way, I'm leaving with something!"

Leaving! I hope I'm overthinking this but that's not a good sign is it.

He's key to promotion, something that would also raise cash, considerably more than his transfer fee
 
I'm not too concerned about Chuba as I think it's pretty plain to see he's in a really good place here. Great form in a system that suits him under a manager that appreciates him.
Could well be true of a lot of the players we had on loan as well which might influence their decisions regarding potential moves or being loaned out again.
Carrick does seem to have created a great environment for players to express themselves in and I'd imagine that'd be very attractive to potential moves.

not sure I agree with that - if we get one more full season out of him then it might be the difference between going up and not. the only difference would be if we had to sell him to reinvest. I can't imagine we would say to him he has to leave unless he signs a new contract.
 
he either signs a new contract or we sell him. None if this running down contracts mularky, Hes had one good season in the last 10. Dont forget when he first come he was hopeless so much so that he was shipped out on loan.

Theres no guarantee he will perform as well next season. Especially with no Giles to provide the crosses.

I dont think we would get that much for him. Anything over 10m Bye ta very much

Akpom scored 28 goals, only 5 of them were from a Giles assist.
 
He’s quite religious I think so he might be implying when his time is up on earth he wants to achieve certain things.

If all we got offered was 10 mill then it would make more sense to have him as our player for the season and let him go for free at the end.

Hypothetically, say a top top player, Harry Kane for instance, was available for loan but the fee for the season was 10 mill, it would probably be worth the gamble to pay it. Chuba was next level great this past season. Not just his goals but his overall play, he is vital in our transition from defence to attack.
 
If like him to stay because I love watching him play and he's a very likable fella, but equally all players move on and off he does we'll make a fair bit of money off him.

Is always a balancing act, without a right or wrong answer; he could stay and struggle, or get a bad injury, he could leave and we fail to make good use of the fee we get.
