Chubaaaaaaaaa!

4-3 Marseilles on added time pen. Dumb mistake by Ajax keeper!

Now final.

Ajax have fallen off the edge of a cliff with some senseless performances and maybe decisions by the Ajax coaching staff. Anyone heard the rumour that Chuba could be off to Everton? The tackle by Bergius was crazy not too mention the Ajax keeper’s decision to try and catch that ball which would have gone out for a GK, but instead he gives away a crazy Penna.

It's mental that he's still on the bench.

He's their top scorer since he signed and they're still keeping him on the bench.
5 goals in his last 6 games.

Before tonight, he was averaging a goal every 58 minutes on the pitch for Ajax. That will only have improved tonight.
By comparison, Haaland has managed one every 90 minutes for City this year.

If he's not being picked, it tells us far more about his manager than how he's been playing.

Perhaps Ajax have figured out that he scores goals if they play him as a substitute and that works for them.
Michael Carrick realised Chuba was not best utilised as a striker being put up against burly centre backs, but as a number 10 type he would flourish.
Different solutions but the same result, Chuba scores goals in the correct environment. Not much chance of him back at the Riverside.

He's only started 2 games all season, the first as a winger, and they slated him like mad for the first 2 months he was there, and he scored in the last one the other day.

I dont think Ajax can afford to let him go anywhere.

Even not starting him, he is way too valuable for them as a scoring sub at the minute. Not much else is going right for them so there is no chance they will allow a scoring (sub) striker leave, especially on loan.
