Tbf he came and played during lockdown with no crowds , barely any fan interaction or massive welcome , warnock certainly never built him up and clearly wasnt a fan. Lad probs never felt loved.
Also, He probs one of those that needs pressure of crowds or atmosphere to perform at his best.

He was just promoting or building confidence for Akpomb, making him feel wanted and trying to paint a picture of positivity for the fans, The club already failed to get Moore earlier in that window after all.

A bit like when Woodgate said he gave his powerpoint presentation on Ajax lite plan using Dijksteel, Browne and Bola to set us on our way. Managers use artistic licence as we know.
