Christmas lockdown NOT ruled out

But you referred to those who would take no notice of a xmas lockdown as selfish. So what's selfish about a family that's vaccinated twice, done three times, getting together to celebrate Xmas?
Even in the thick of the pandemic last Christmas there was a window of opportunity to get together and if there was a lockdown again, that would undoubtably happen again, so that shouldn’t be an issue but if there was a lockdown during the general build up to Christmas, then it should be observed.

Why?

What danger is there to triple boosted folk?

But surely then that is an argument for the government then to protect the most vulnerable people then, the unvaccinated??
No. I'm saying you can't expect people who've been fully vaccinated and those who've had boosters to lockdown over Xmas otherwise the whole vaccine program falls apart and implodes.
As Tom said, the vast majority of people wouldn't take notice of it anyways. The government already ****ed one Xmas for people. No way would they get away with F***ing two in a row.

A targeted lockdown of the most vulnerable I am saying, the COVID passport route, help those self imposed vulnerable people to help themselves.

Speaking to a Dutch colleague today and they are now effectively in lockdown.

I noticed the Holland vs Norway match tonight was played behind closed doors.

Wouldn't work either as some of those who've chosen not to get the vaccine for whatever reason would j just ignore it anyways.

Any form of lockdown won't work, and won't be accepted by the public.

I'm not saying that from a personal opinion but haven't we already dished out 10million + 3rd jabs???? As another poster said, if we go into another lockdown those people with 2/3 jabs must think what the hell was the point.

Generally speaking, what the f**k is the point in vaccines if we'll still be going into lockdowns? As the goverment themselves have said "vaccines are the way out".

It can't go on forever. Lock down this xmas, we'll end up locking down next xmas too - and the xmas after that, and the xmas after that.

No pie in my house on Xmas day. Just roast meat and more roast meat, a selection of nibbles, a variety of ales and spirits and much haribo.
Not keen on beef but like turkey, chicken and pork. Also there must be stuffing and Pigs in blankets.. Oh chestnuts in the sprouts and mashed carrot and swede.

What time do you want me there? I'll even bring a bottle of blu nun

Hopefully it won't come to lockdowns. I think it probably will but there are others who think we are very close to herd immunity.

If infections continue to climb in the 6 weeks to Christmas Johnson may well introduce some restrictions. Many, I suspect will still get together with family over Christmas.

We, like many families were supposed to have my wife's dad round for Christmas last year. We have him round this year. At 87,if there were another lockdown I think we would probably let him make his own mind up about coming, getting tested just before to reduce risk, if he decides to come.

My entire family is double jabbed and will be triple jabbed by Christmas except my 10 year old.

I think we'll be in some form of lockdown... it's obvious, if the NHS can't normally cope with Flu during the winter months in 'normal years' - we're wrecked
