Chris Wilder

If we win the next 10 games on the bounce my opinion of Wilder won’t change. He’s good but he’s not without his faults.

The Burnley situation could have been handled much, much better and it’s I that which think undermined his standing with many fans.

BT57 asks the question does the table lie? The clubs position isn’t best answered yes or no to such a loaded question.

I really enjoyed the West Brom and Sheff United games which I attended. The Stoke performance was excellent even though the result wasn’t.

Wilder like the rest of us has made mistakes, the Akpom situation is a good example. There was no real clamour on here to reinstall him into the squad but the situation forced it upon the manager and yesterday he was badly missed.

The football he wants to play is exciting and interesting I think back to what we watched under recent managers and I much prefer what is on offer now to that.

Everyone wants a quick fix but that’s not possible.

Sheff United look a strong team but no more than that. The Championship may well wear them down.

Nothing will be decided in August.
