Look at the reasons he was moved on by Brighton. He's too conservative, don't lose first manager, which is fine to stop the rot, but then he can never seem to find another gear. Though he was on a hiding to nothing at Forest.

You say that, but he took over from a manager that had them in the top 6 until the last minute of the last game of the previous season.

They might have imploded at the end but they couldn't have been that much of a mess to stay there for so long.
