Chelsea vs Villa Away Allocation

Noticed Villa got 6k on Saturday in the Fa Cup

Seems mighty unfair we didn't get the full stand as they left the corners empty. I saw against Newcastle in the previous round they did the same thing.

Why would that be??

Newcastle and Chelsea have no history of fan aggravation.. The Boro and Chelsea do unfortunately
They're basically the same teams at opposite end of the country.
Everyone north of York thinks NUFC are pretendy big time , everyone else in London thinks the same about Chelsea.
They both think they're massive and have a Divine right

Ok so you’re saying we have genuine needle that the powers that be were concerned about.. and Newcastle have a reputation that precedes them, as do Chelsea ?

I'm suggesting that , if I was a safety advisor for football matches for all the teams you've mentioned
I'd be more concerned, in all the options available..
Boro vs Newcastle
Newcastle vs Boro
Chelsea vs Boro.,

Then the rest..
( Chelsea don't cause problems up north)

Both Chelsea and Newcastle are harmless away from home in terms of misbehaving on the whole ( they are just massive in their own heads in terms of importance to sky )

I can fully understand why they had big segregation blocks for us , at Chelsea , in a semi final.... And not vs villa in the 4th round.

I’m specifically taking about the 3 games :
Chelsea v Newcastle (last 8)
Chelsea v Boro (last 4)
Chelsea v Villa (fa cup 4th round)

I understand the other permutations regarding us and the toon but I’ve never seen those corners empty at the Bridge

It’s disappointing to me but I can fathom it a bit more now.

Still doesn’t totally explain why they did the same with Newcastle following your logic, and given Fulham seemed to give them the full lot of that stand in tonight’s game as well

Simply..
Chelsea vs Newcastle ( League cup , quarters , both think they're better than it , no malice , the horse punchers are a cash cow for home stadiums , no Malice)

Chelsea vs Villa ( FA cup fourth round, both have bigger fish to fry, no malice etc )

Chelsea vs Boro ( even the guardian had an article about " battle of Stamford bridge " , semi final , huge risk of them being embarrassed etc .. previous and a cup final at stake makes everyone twitchy , cost of extra seats vs extra stewards / police etc not worthwhile etc )

Fulham have absolutely no point of reference in ' normal ' allocations , they invite more people round than my nan did

Yes, it’s just the cup rules. Nothing to do with rivalry. I guess if you are Chelsea you want the fewest number of away fans cheering on their team.

They were only obliged to give 10% for the semi even though they could have given more because, as you say, the corners were empty.

Maybe as they were losing 1-0 - they didn't want to give the extra few thousand tickets out to increase our support numbers?

Was already decided a while before. The last few sold at around half time of the first leg
