Chelsea in talks to appoint Lampard till the end of the season

Ridiculous. They’d have been better off sticking with Potter until the end of the season.

He’s been a flop everywhere but because he’s Frank Lampard it puts him above lots of better performing managers. Absolute joke of a club
 
I wonder whether Lampard sees it as a no-lose situation. Puts pressure on the owners if he somehow manages to get them into the top 4 or wins the champions league. He might as well take it if offered the job. He's got nothing else on and nothing to lose really.
 
I was surprised Potter struggled as much as he did. They never played with any pattern or shape, which is the least you'd expect. Not forgetting zero spirit.
 
Kaveh Solhekol was just asked on SSN why are Chelsea going for Lampard.

Literally the second reason he gave was "he lives close to Stamford Bridge" 🤣
 
Recent Chelsea v Liverpool game was a dull goalless draw between two mid-table teams. Lampard can't lose here.
 
Ordinarily I would assume that he would at least be the cheap option. At some point surely there will be a general realisation that he is clueless but talks well to camera.

I was thinking this too.
Yes it might be too early for him but he's obviously well thought of as a coach at Villa and if you cut him open he'd bleed Chelsea blue. He'd also be an instant hit with the fans.
