How on earth do we control them. The French do not want to intervene. We have paid million to the French to assist to help us. They appear to look the other way.

Why? Turn the boats around. Why are we helping them to shore, putting them up in hotels and feeding them when there are homeless people on the streets who've paid taxes in this country?
All young men basically invading the country. Seeking asylum? b***ks. Why don't they seek asylum in France? Or Spain? Or Italy? Or whichever other country they land in first.

Awaiting the racism accusations....

You are what you are RS, very similar to some of your posts about Black Lives Matter. I can't believe how selfish and nasty some people in this world are, if the cap fits, wear it well.

If we continue to invade sovereign states on a pack of lies and the pretense of eastablishing "democracy" (sic) we will continue to displace millions from their homes and place them on the road to seeking refuge and asylum in countries they consider "democratic" and politically stable.
Actions have consequencies.
See how the Jews fled Germany in the 30s and 40s to other parts of Europe and the United States.
Or the displaced millions in the second world war who had nowhere to call home.
Or the Windrush Generation who were shipped over in their thousands to help rebuild the economy and provide workers for the NHS.
Did that dead, bloated little child die because his parents wanted benefits in Europe.
No.
You cant fight wars, even by proxy, and expect civilians to stand and wait to be blown to hell.
Fight or flight.

Exactly. A lot of people have short and very selective memories.

Very sad that picture. As a father I would do anything for my kids. I’d swim the channel with them on my back however something needs to be done and the kids don’t die.
We are being overrun and the numbers on this island cannot continue to grow as they are.
In only a few generations there will be famine on these shores, high crime, low unemployment, unimaginable poverty.
I posted yesterday about Belgium and Holland being beautiful places and people going through them to get here. Why?
I think we all know the answer. The benefits package on offer. After all, as pointed out in the blm threads, racist is rife here don’t you know.
I’ve been to the Middle East. They have fvck all and I mean fvck all. It’s horrendous to witness actually.
I do however believe that we have a duty to protect what we have and if that means turning boats around then that’s what will have to happen.

Disagree one thousand per cent. Stop bombing them, stop looting their countries, etc and they might just have a place to live and a life to live.

Who knows, one day that could be us...

OK here's some education:

Why are we helping them to shore, putting them up in hotels and feeding them when there are homeless people on the streets who've paid taxes in this country?

Because we're able to and because we're civilised. You think we should just let them arrive here and starve in the streets? While you're sat at home in comfort in front of your computer with your beer, you simply cannot imagine how horrific it must be to be so desperate that you felt your only option in life was to pack your stuff, leave your home and your friends and try to make your way 1000s of miles to another country with no idea who where what will happen to you or your family. Migration under such a burden of stress is something to be admired. Think about it, seriously, imagine yourself and what you would do in such a situation, if you can, it's not easy. Then imagine someone sat in their armchair dismissing your efforts and that you should just 'go home'.

All young men basically invading the country. Seeking asylum? b***ks.

How do you know they don't have a genuine reason to seek asylum? You don't, do you?

Why don't they seek asylum in France? Or Spain? Or Italy? Or whichever other country they land in first.

For every 1 that lands here maybe 100 stay on the continent. You don't know, do you? Perhaps they speak English, perhaps they have friends and family here? If you don't know, then shut up.

I honestly thought you were or on a wind up. It’s sad to see that you aren’t.
