Championship Ins and Outs

Didn't realise that Rhys Healey (who we have been linked with numerous times) has signed for Watford. Don't know much about him though to be honest.

I fancy them to get it right this season. They showed flashes of being a really dangerous side last season and they’ve recruited well. I’d be tempted to go for them if they make the playoffs.
Agree with that - they had a really good run towards the end of the season and tailed off
Think they will get off to a flier this time around

Leicester and Leeds wwill be in the mix somewhere

Baggies fans are fearing points deduction ....

Birmingham have had a great window so far...
Signed Krystian Bielik and Dion Sanderson permanently (both did well for them on loan last season)
Sold Tahith Chong to Luton for £4m - brought in Koji Miyoshi for free.
Lost Maxime Colin to Metz - brought in a ready made replacement in Ethan Laird.
Released Troy Deeney who although played 30 odd games last season is now 35-36? - brought in Tyler Roberts, 24 year old striker from Leeds.
Surely Siriki Dembele and Lee Buchanan go straight into their starting 11 too.

Stoke also look like they've improved the first team with 4-5 players.
The addition of loads of new names (never heard of most of them) does not make a team stronger of course and cannot comment on the quality of these players but I can say Birmingham have done this before without success.

I wouldn't just class them as just "new names". Tyler Roberts has played over 100 games for Leeds - over 50 of them in the premier league.
Derby signed Bielik from Arsenal for £8 million a few years ago, he's played nearly 100 championship games.
Laird's been playing regular football since he was 17 (now 21) - seasons as MK Dons, Swansea, and QPR - played for Man Utd in the Europa league.
Siriki Dembele and Lee Buchanan are both very good players too.

For a club that's finished 17th, 20th, 18th, 20th, 17th in the last 5 seasons... They're all very good signings.

Ipswich picked up Jack Taylor from Peterboro which will be interesting to watch on how he progresses. Personally, I think he would have been worth a punt-- box to box midfielder with an eye for goal, plus he's tall and can add to the defensive shape of any team.

Brum fan mate of mine is not excited.

Bielek has of course been on loan to Birmingham before as they fought relegation and didn't tear it up then. Dembele has also played most of his career so far at Peterborough, Tyler Roberts is injury prone. Ethan Laird seemed to be a QPR fans scapegoat for their dreadful second half performance last season. I remember Buchanan was in and out of a very struggling Derby team.

They may gel but I have my doubts and if these were our signings I wouldn't be impressed.
