Ch4 cricket

I'm all for free to air and have absolutely no issues. Just prefer Sky.

I'm not sure if it's because I'm just used to it. I think they have better interval 'master classes' etc. I guess they also have a far bigger budget.

That said still enjoying it👍

I don't think anyone can argue that Sky do live sports best, but it is refreshing to see English cricket on terrestrial TV.

I am also a big believer that the Ashes should be free for everyone to see.

It's important for the game that Sky don't get to dominate the coverage. I think all home Tests should be on Terrestrial and Sky can have the rest. England Football at home is free to air

Don't forget Ch4 we're only awarded it last week so have had to piggy back on to the local broadcaster and probably explains why they haven't got the proper studio set up.

I'd love the Ashes to be back on terrestrial TV, even if it was just the Perth day/nighter. IIRC BT have the rights to it this year so even fewer people will be watching it.

I don’t think the coverage has been as comprehensive as you would get with Sky, but I agree that it’s refreshing to see some coverage of test cricket on terrestrial TV. The really good thing is that it isn’t on BT Sport, whose cricket coverage is abysmal.

I think Channel 4 have done a good job, guess they don't have the schedule space on the main channel for the extensive highlights Sky do? They spent a lot of this morning apologising for Sunday Brunch being moved! Not sure how many non cricket devotees will be tuning in though, it's going to take a lot to win back the generation or so the ECB lost by it's short sighted sell out to Sky.

Sky had the opportunity to bid and didn't compete with C4. For a company with a dedicated Cricket channel, you have to wonder what Sky are up to. They'll begin to lose subscribers with cricket as the clincher for a lot of people.

Sky not covering the cricket or the champions league. Netball is featuring more though and their prices continue to increase. Not really value for money.

The other slight pain is the lack of readily available highlights etc. I know it's a small thing but when I'm at work I'd just open the sky app and watch instant highlights of wickets.

I've just been trawling the Internet looking for highlights and I can't find them. Where as YouTube and sky apps are full of the Packistan test match they are showing.

Just looked. The highlights for all three days are on the All4 app.
