Cars jumping red lights

It seems to me that there is an increase of people doing this to save waiting for a few minutes. Tonight at South Bank Asda roundabout, at least three cars turned right after the lights had gone green going the other way and then a Pickering's transit van came flying round to beat the cars coming at him. How he got round I will never know.

A few weeks back, it was similar at Eston Baths lights but this time there was a police traffic car sitting next to me. The occupants made no effort to pull the driver for this reckless manoeuver. Do the police now turn a blind eye to this.

People need to realise that their recklessness could end someone's life.

I have been noticing more and more people more or less disregarding red lights and forcing their way across. Also twice in the past two weeks cars have effectively squeezed between two cars on a dual carriageway and at speed. The first time was directly in front of me on the A19 the second time driving home from the match around Derby.
All these cars were white or black and you can probably guess the types of car!!

Noticed it during the lock down 2020 when the roads were really quiet.
I think some people have realised that they can get away with it and have just continued it.
This was definitely a thing I mr ruined it on here as there were no cars on the road there was no natural ebb and flow to the traffic so everyone drove 100mph everywhere and took scant notice of things like crossing and traffic lights.

it’s def a hangover from that

Also a reverse winge about folk setting off lights slowly. I'm regularly sat 2-3 cars back and the lights go green and no fecker moves for what seems like 10 seconds.

You know what's coming. Amber then green. Clutch down (start stop) and into gear then drive away😉

At Normanby corner traffic lights, I've had to jump back onto the pavement several times to avoid getting ran over while the green man is on. I love the parents who park up at school 30 minutes early, pick their kid(s) up and then drive through a red light to save 30-60 seconds. I've also seen loads of police cars ignore this.

The pedestrian crossing on the a66 slip road at Newport roundabout is terrible for this. I've nearly been run over a few times by ignorant drivers flying through whilst the green man is on. I'm also getting increasingly vexed about people parking on the pavement and blocking it.

Too many people thinking the law doesn’t apply to them, and given how infrequently drivers get pulled for this then more and more people will do it.

There is no roundabout with lights at south bank?

And flipping’ quad bike riders in balaclava’s just riding roughshod through red lights, just no respect.
Get used to it everyone. We now live in a society whereby a larger group of people feel completely entitled to do as they please citing ‘freedom’ as their primary reason
These are your Tory base people, a bit like the trump base folk whereby rules don’t apply to them
