Carrick long term future

Pathetic from some of the usual negative lot.

“I think he’ll prob give us this season….”

Lol

Err Yes I think he will as well

talkSport today from 4pm - discussing a debate on whether Championship managers should take opportunities in the Premier League, specifically high flying managers taking on roles in relegation-battling teams - solely based around Michael Carrick's connections to West Ham.

For me, I'd like to think Carrick is the sort of man to want cut his teeth at this level and achieve promotion. I'd love to see him given an opportunity with us in the Premier League. Couldn't give any comment on whether he could save one of the half dozen teams currently in the relegation fight.

Yes I heard that Goldstein all over him going to West Ham.

Bent soon shut him down.

I've seen a lot of people saying all this about Michael Carrick all over Facebook.

I just don't get it?
The man has a 2 and a half year contract and is only 5 months through it.
His personality is that he's laid back, calm and its one game at a time.
He'll have watched Lampard, he had one season, didn't go up, just squeeked the play offs and ended managing Chelsea long before he was ready. Its ate him up,his confidence is well gone and I'd be surprised to see him manage in the PL again after Everton.
He may be linked to the basket cases of the PL but why would he go when this is basically every young managers ideal scenario?
Loyal Chairman who now has got HIS man will back him, backroom team who are working WITH him, the coaching team he wanted, players he wanted and fans that have taken to him immensely.
He'll be going nowhere, if we go up im certain he'll get a new deal to.

Not worried the slightest

If we dont go up theres a chance that West ham (if they stay up) or some other Prem team come in for him in the summer.

If we go up though I dont see him leaving for a few seasons and then only to go to man Utd or some other top 6 type club
