A few on the match thread getting a bit excited. It would have been a mistake bringing on subs while Norwich were forcing the play. Carrick waited until the game started to break up a bit.

Just back home from the game, hugely professional performance, really impressive, we have a squad rather than a team and as has been said elsewhere, in Michael Carrick we have the real deal.

No it’s not easy coming on when you are under the cosh, but at times as a manager you need to influence the game when you are on the back foot.
Personally, I think he got it right.
