Captain Tom's daughter investigated by the Charity Commission

Don't know the facts of that case but imo the whole charity " industry " needs investigating .
Lots of cases of charity fiddles ( sorry I meant creative accounting ) as well as legal huge salaries for CEOs , managers etc .
How much filters down to the actual charity work ?
I agree. When I see requests for funding from charities I regularly check their accounts as they're publicly available on the charity commission website. It's sometimes staggering to see how much some people earn from working for charities while asking volunteers to do much of the frontline work. You can also see the balance of how much they raise vs how much is used for charitable purposes and in some cases it's low.

Very little.
Charities
are often run by "entrepenuers". In it to cream off as much donation money as they can.

So why are they not investigating Price Charles and his bag of 2 million in used notes. Ok it was a donation but one question I thought of straight away was how was it brought into country. If it was.

Hadn't she already tried to pay herself 100k a year as head of the charity ?
There is lots of people running charities getting far in excess of that. Does not make it right though.

Another thing that bugs me is some of these companies as I cannot call them charities who put bags through your door. They ask for clothing bric a brac etc. Read the small print and see how little they give to charities per year

I know a lad who is now a stay at home Dad. He was on decent money, £40k a year. His wife works for a charity (mental health) £85k a year. Crazy.

I use those bags as bin liners. They are superb.
