It’s funny spending a lot of time here, it’s a small island so everyone tries to know everyone else’s business (they don’t know ours). A lot of locals say ‘we don’t go to the beach cos we live here’ or ‘we don’t go to the tourist restaurants cos we live here’ but we don’t get that, they’re great and it’s nice to be here in Jan/feb when all the silver surfers are here, but it’s also nice to be here in August when the young families and screaming kids are here (nice when they leave again too
). It’s like the seasons in the UK except it’s not the weather that changes it’s the people.
