Of all the places around the world - The Soy man baby Blackfacey Trudeau appalled by feeding the homeless ( after running away??)- Oh my GOD!! clearing garbage - being as helpful and compliant with police as possible - how utterly AWFUL of these dreadfully nice people not destroying/smashing **** up and rioting. Bouncey castles, playing hockey , - **** me jail these evil b***ds!!!!

The long queue of people carrying jerry cans ( some filled with just gatorade) in reaction to the anyone helping supply the Freedom Truckers threatened with arrest was awesome.
In the middle of a Canadian freezing winter too. Which trust me can be bloody cold.

The legacy media whipping an anti rhetoric is laughingly funny - Trudeau says it a SMALL MINORITY - then really it should be 5 mins to sort them out? ( like the INSULATE peeps?) ORRRR...maybe it's not as small as he would loike.

It is quite something to see how the 'people' when they do do as Marx suggest - rise up - are treated - jus saying

Anti-vax loonies.
Lock them up and clear the streets. (y)

They are protesting at being locked up already, basically in their own homes for 2 years.

Freedom protesters, not anti-vax or far right. Just people who want to continue the rest of their lives as normal as possible.

The rest of the world are slowly getting there, but some countries like Canada, France and New Zealand, are continuing to enforce strict measures when clearly they are no longer needed.

Time we all moved on put the last two dreadful years behind us.

Dreadful because of a pandemic not because of restrictions to stop the spread of a pendemic.

Someone should tell the virus we just want to put the last 2 years behind us

Why didn’t someone think of this already, we could have told the virus to go away.

Hi Tiler,
Interested to see what you class as strict measures, unless you count the request to wear a mask, show your vaccine pass in certain hospo businesses that request them (not all have gone down this line) or have table only service.
This will change when we get to x1000cases per day, then less restrictions kick in.
Also, the protestors are a pretty disparate lot, not all mandate or vaccine protestors, but all are anti government (both blue and red), which is making it difficult for the police to negotiate.
I suspect they will leave them over the weekend, then try and remove them next week .

Anti-vax loonies.
Those anti-vax loonies simply want to be able to work. Many truckers travel across the US border with Canada on a daily basis, and the government in Ottawa imposed travel vaccine mandates last month just when it didn't matter anymore. It's tough to understand why. Perhaps Trudeau really is Castro's love child. https://medium.com/@leibowitt/of-co...dad-nobody-has-debunked-anything-4db6fc8a9042

It's hard not to think there's more to the mandates than a desire to control the spread of infection. Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms explicitly states freedom to travel as a human right, and all the mandates are effectively unconstitutional. (The UK didn't ban travel for the unvaxxed ever AFAIK). Trudeau has circumvented the law by running States of Emergency and ruling by executive dictat for two years. That's why there are as many vaccinated people at the protest as unvaccinated. They don't want to have to get boosters every couple of months.

The vaccines are officially useless at preventing infection by Omicron. Here's the latest report from Scotland showing the age-standardised case rate per 100,000. According to this data, the vaccinated are more likely to become infected than the unvaccinated. Canadian data is similar though not as comprehensive or as well presented.

Canadians are like no other nation when it comes to the vaccine— in fact they’ve done a good job of getting to 85 percent vaccinated, and while the country has remained liberal for quite sometime this could be the straw that breaks that rule. I just get the feeling they’re just sick and tired of politicians basically thinking they’re above the law when it comes to the pandemic (and anything else). The trucker impasse reminds me a bit of the miner strike in the UK all those moons ago, us against them scenario.

You disingenuous rascal, you.
It’s been pointed out to you why the data is going to show that the vaccinated are becoming infected more than the unvaccinated, on multiple occasions now.
Yet you continue to post that line to try and encourage reluctance/doubt in the vaccines.
Furthermore, the vaccines are NOT officially useless at preventing infection by omicron. Something you are well aware of too. And something which has been explained multiple times on here.
You aren’t a stupid person, which means the only reason you continue to post such misrepresentation of data, is because you are knowingly and willfully spreading misinformation. You know there are some vulnerable, naive people on here who fall for the **** you are selling. Hence why you do it.
You willfully come here to spread misinformation.

SHAME ON YOU!!

This is a decent read regarding the protests -

‘the protest began last month in opposition to a requirement that cross-border truckers get vaccinated against Covid-19. Since then it has morphed into a broader anti-government movement that mixes anti-vaccine rhetoric, far-right politics and conspiracy theories, from 5G-enabled microchips to QAnon.’
