I think Archer would do well to speak with Patrick Bamford when it comes to choosing your next club after a good loan with Boro. Bamford essentially wasted two years of his career sitting on the benches of Crystal Palace, Norwich and Burnley when he really should’ve just stayed with Boro and finished the job off.

It’s a good point. I’m quietly confident we will get him signed up if promoted, if not hopefully Scott and Carrick come up with another belter

Whether Villa will let him go and at what price is the issue.

He will get chances at Villa next year, and they will be in Europe as well so plenty of games. No chance they sell him at his age and how well he has done in two seasons in the championship

Both Cam and Aaron are big villa fans . But i am always a big believer in not mixing business with pleasure, Might make sense if there is no clear pathway to leave Villa. Maybe on a buy back first refusal basis .

I think that Unai has plans for them both IF they hit the markers that will have been set out for them. I think that you are right in your thoughts about he should come and play for you rather than sit on the bench .

The only thing that might stop that is the fact Watkins has an insane fitness record so a big name striker might not get the minutes. we also have this Columbian wonderkid who is being brought through really slowly and carefully. who knows.. no leaks at Villa ever any more. the first we know of a player is when it is announced on our website these days

ha. i really am a Villa fan, signed up when Cam joined and then never posted. Always keep an eye on the youth players . Cam especially as he was never rated as a kid . too small. But he came back from Solihull Boro and then started pre season like a man possessed. Gained a **** load of strength and could play up front rather than on the wing

not sure he will, I hear that Villa are looking to make big moves to push on. Tammy Abraham is on their radar, obviously has a link with the club and would be a statement of intent from them.

With only playing one striker, and having Watkins too and others who can play CF, it's likely that Archer would be at best 4th choice for one position in the team. Might get 2 or 3 UEFA cup starts and a handful of prem subs at best.

I think they'll cash in on him while his stock is high to fund their high profile signings. I know it's not the same manager, but he spent 6 months sat on his butt waiting for a chance that didn't come this year, I doubt his agent will want that to happen again.

Yeah I think that’s about right for a decent championship striker. Probably up to 15.

I think he is outstanding and is getting better and better.
If we do go up then I'd sign Archer and Ramsey and get Chuba tied up for 3 years.

Recruiting for the PL needs to be investment in players who will keep us up and grow in value.
If we can't get Archer because Villa won't sell, then get Gyokeres who is also brilliant.

Not a prayer unfortunately. I'd love you to be right but that's unrealistic especially as he's young and English.

We will have to proem out for Archer, but i do think it’s possible and I do think he might be up for it. Thing with Archer is that he can play wide left too.

If we go up I’d go for it, sign him and Gyokeres. Might cost 45m+ but, it’ll give us goals, and saleable assets that could double or treble in value within 2 years. It also means we would have phenomenal fire power if we got promoted then relegated again.
