Cameron Archer

I think he may stay at villa and not get much game time, as they are likely to get another striker. Probably not good news if they get in Europe, as they may use him in the europa league. Depends on him really. He’s bound to have an affinity with Villa (same as Ramsey) and our most likely option is another loan if we go up. He’s too good for the championship.

He’s awesome for us. Not necessarily such good times at his other options. I hope he has a say in his destiny.

Newcastle and their blood money shouldn’t really count.
But they do and they are not alone. Desperation from pL clubs will pay stupid fees especially for strikers or if you are Forest £20 m for Neco Williams. Steven Bergwyn, Seb Haller, (£45 million!!!) Alex Iwobi all bought for ridiculous sums.

As said previously, our only hope is Villa need to kick on towards top 6 so need a striker who has done it at a higher level.

Would Villa fans be happy if Archer went back to the club as their big hope for next season? Doubtful.

Little perspective needed, the step from Championship to PL - especially for forwards - is huge.

But he has the potential, just needs the opportunity to show whether he has it at PL level or not.......love it to be with Boro, but reckon we have a 10% chance at present. We get promoted (or not) and take him on loan next season.....👍

I don't reckon he will be starting for Villa next season, so it rather depends on them wanting to retain him as a long term prospect or cash in to fund higher profile buys?

Clinical finisher and also a team player, will only get better with experience and opportunity, I thought the way he finished his disallowed offside goal against BC was brilliant, it looked at first he had gone way too wide and it ended up in the other corner.
That was a cracking finish and as you say shows what he can do.

Love the way he opened his body out before dispatching the finish for his first last night. Very similar to his second against Sheff Utd, quality!
