Burnley are plotting a move for Reggie Cannon

Burnley are plotting a move for USA international Reggie Cannon on a free transfer, TEAMtalk understands.

Cannon is a free agent after cancelling his contract at Portuguese club Boavista earlier this summer after a dispute over alleged unpaid wages.

Burnley boss Vincent Kompany is looking to strengthen his options at full-back and sees Cannon as someone who could be worth a punt on a free transfer.

Cannon’s speed is one of his standout attributes, while he’d also provide a physical option at right-back or right wing-back if Kompany elects to play with a back five.

The 25-year-old Cannon has won 28 caps for his country and during his three years in Portugal he made 89 appearances for Boavista.

The likes of Nottingham Forest and Fulham have previously been linked with a move for Cannon.

However, we understand Burnley could now be ready to offer him the chance to move to the Premier League and his arrival would tick a lot of boxes for Burnley’s American owners.

Well, well, well... of course I can tell we are all equally disappointed in this news after being so heavily linked for such a long time.

Gutted to hear this newy, you’ll be devastated. Kompany clearly reads your musings on here and has hijacked your plan for Boro’s glorious ascension.
As a result I have just put the silverware on Soñora signing for Burnley too, dark days indeed.

I do enjoy a good "plotting a move".

They've not made a move yet and presumably won't do till they've looked over blueprints, drawn up a complex plan and formulated a good exit strategy in case it all goes wrong.

All done in a dark basement at their training ground I imagine.

Only then will they actually make their move as opposed to just plotting one.

Newy’s list of targets is regular reading for any head of recruitment worth their salt.

Paul Winstanley will be joining soon once he hears about his coups. We’ll have to give Newy a title so he isn’t poached, although one or two on here already have. 🤣

Newy, from here on in your title is:-

Sorry it is a bit of a mouthful, anyone any good at thinking up acronyms for Newys new post?

Is there a Non- Steroidal Anti Inflammatory topical application available for that ?
Interesting fact: I recently negated the need for anusol both cream and suppository by simply not doing anything about my anal discomfort. Apart from some slight bleeding aside.. I think I have developed a sort of callus on my anus.. like you’d get at school on your finger just after the six weeks holiday.
