Burgzorg and Gilbert

I think these two annoyed me the most today. Burgzorg certainly now has a reputation, amongst officials, for going down easily. I thought he had secured his slot in the first 11 but his recent performances have cast doubt over that. He is definitely out of form.

Today was Gilbert’s big chance to show Carrick why he should be starting and all he showed was he belonged on the bench. I’m a supporter of his. Felt he hadn’t been given enough chances but watched him closely today and he was extremely lazy and his passing was poor.

Concerning performances across the board apart from Djksteel and McCabe who did ok.

We certainly need a leader. Someone to drive us forward with aggression.

UTB.

Both do not contribute enough , if we can ship them out we should , for better versions because those 2 will not get us promoted.

Gilbert has talent but has been massively over-rated on here. He's nowhere near the level of Azaz right now.

Burgzorg is hit and miss, but he definitely looks better on the left. I was a bit surprised Lath didn't start today.

I expect that Burgzorg started because he is one of the options should Lath leave.

The number of times Hamilton tried to play a one two with Gilbert in the first half only for Gilbert to turn round and play it backwards!

Almost all fans like Gilbert, but those claiming he should start hopefully see why he doesn’t. Finn Azaz is a better player and will make the team better against Portsmouth next week.

Burgzorg can be frustrating. Think everyone knows that. He has been effective from wide left recently, but shows why we need Conway back soon.

Barlaser and McGree annoyed me far more than Gilbert and Burgzorg. I expect the slow and weak efforts of Barlaser and this is now becoming the norm for McGree. An international footballer puts in a pathetic performance like that and it's the young, inexperienced players like Gilbert and Hamilton that get targeted ????
I hardly think they were targeted - just criticised
And Barlaser has been relentlessly criticised - including by me - so much so that I’m trying to avoid doing it now. I even think it was wrong for Radio Tees to read message after message banging on about him
I’m a fan of Gilbert - and hope the 90 minutes helps him get match fit to get more minutes in the league

I think it’s Barlaser who is targeted. He’s the number 1 target now Jones has left.

I thought the game was crying out for Izzy today (if Doak wasn't going to play) but that ship's sailed now and good luck to him at Luton.
January's going to be interesting !
I think January needs to be interesting.

The squad is full of anaemic players who spend the game at half pace playing short safe passes sideways and backwards.

We need an urgent injection of effort and players who care about winning a match.

The fringe players should be moved on if possible, they have had their chance in my opinion.

Barlaser wasn't amazing but he had so little to work with, there was barely anything happening ahead of him. And his set pieces were improved, and he actually had a go from outside the box which wasn't far off.

Harsh to judge Gilbert in that team. Didn't really do anything wrong. Couple of intercepted passes whilst trying to release forwards. Nothing Azaz doesn't do each game also
On a positive note, young Gilbert was the unfortunate victim of a huge save by their keeper. If not for that, his rocket shot would have put us up 1-0.
