Better than Shankly?Greatest manager I have ever seen.
It's a nice story but he'd left Hartlepool in May 1967 and Hartlepools were promoted under Gus McClean the following season.Norman C I think I'd rate Clough above Shankley as a manager too.
Clough got Hartlepools promoted !!!
and yet you still get thick plonkers who think socialism means asylum seekers in ferraris whilst the working man has to pick onions for breakfast.
YesBetter than Shankly?
He'd set them up, all the same. He turned the club on its head. It's a nice story but he'd left Hartlepool in May 1967 and Hartlepools were promoted under Gus McClean the following season.
Definitely the greatest manager for me, I loved all his interviews, I could listen to his tales for hours, ‘young man’, the performances he got from some players was truly astonishing.
It was a shame that the F.A. were so far up themselves they couldn’t ’risk’ him in that role, yet they still gave Revie the job, truly mind boggling stupidity not to appoint Cloughie.
I'll disallow Hartlepools's promotion but add on two European Cups and four League cupsNorman C I think I'd rate Clough above Shankley as a manager too.
Clough got Hartlepools promoted !!! made Derby County the First Division champions and then moved down the road to Nottingham Forest and did it again
