If nothing else, with those genetics he’s probably a hell of a natural athlete and has had the best coaching from an early age. Even though it looks stupid he’s probably a pretty decent player, though doubt he’d be getting Premier League loans if his dad wasn’t who his dad was.

Genes and natural athleticism are a big thing in sport, it’s remarkable how many players are the sons of very decent amateur players - more than you’d think.

I can't see any issue with this. A lad gets a job because of his dad's connections, nothing unusual with that, my dad did the same for me when I left school, but I preferred to join the RAF to working with him on the building sites.

There is absolutely loads of nepotism in global football. Every World Cup I see all these familiar names and then learn that they are the sons of former household names. They are almost always forwards too, even if their Dads weren’t.

This is no different. It may be that there’s a lot of genetic influence, or just that growing up with a footballer for a Dad is really cool and motivating. I don’t think there always needs to be cries of corruption.
