Reports that roadblocks were set up in pro-Lula areas by police. Fragrantly breaking election laws, but the result is all that matters to them
 
Lula has now taken the lead in the Brazilian election and really *should* win from this point. Polls have only just closed but they start counting while people are still voting - all done with machines.
 
The BBC is strongly hinting there will be trouble on the streets after this election result.

If the Amazon Forest is reduced any further - electric cars will not save us - the Forest is one of the Earth's lungs.
 
Luckily still a swing of c2 million people in absolute terms so not that close really, but bolsonaro will concoct the fake votes rubbish like trump. Most Brazilians I know don’t think it will succeed but it will save his face
 
If there is a military coup in Brazil - lets see what support Lula gets from the West, if history is to go by it will be unfortunately zero.

Good to see a former metal worker running a large country.

Bolsonaro, a former army captain who has spent years attacking Brazil’s democratic institutions, might refuse to accept defeat. In the lead up to the election he indicated he would contest a result he considered “abnormal”. He is yet to concede to his rival.

Outside Bolsonaro’s home in west Rio there was dejection and anger as the news sunk in. “I’m angry,” said Monique Almeido, a 36-year-old beautician. “I don’t even know what to say.”

João Reis, a 50-year-old electrician, said he was convinced the vote had been rigged.

“It’s fraud without a doubt, they manipulated the count. The armed forces must intervene,” he demanded.

And if they didn’t? “The population must take to the streets to demand military intervention so that we don’t hand power over to the communists.”

Trump the evil buffoon has opened Pandora’s box with all his deep state bollox.

As you it’s the orange idiots play book this.

It’s incredible but it works as a relatively sensible colleague said to me last year that she thought there something in as why would trump lie. And it’s that mentality of well no smoke without out fire mentality that fuels this insanity.

The irony is of course there was a great conspiracy on the election but it was trump who was committing it. He tried to steal the election

There are people watching the votes
There are people outside intimidating those about to vote

My mate in the US sent me a clip of two pick up trucks with huge trump flags circling the voting place.

So Yes all true but all trump supporters.

There were reports of voters being intimidated and arrested by the police in places where Lula was well supported. If anyone's been fixing the vote its him and his supporters, but he still F***ing lost. I see all the Western governments have already sent congratulations to Lula, with Biden stressing it was a fair election.
