Boxing Day game

For those wanting to go to this, it's pretty close to selling out in most blocks. I would get in there quick to get your desired seat. With all blocks open it looks like less than 2k tickets left.

For those still considering half season tickets in time for Christmas, a near sellout for Boxing Day potentially affects the choice of seats available for the ST, I would assume.

For the half season ticket if anyone wants one need to commit today to reserve your seat.

The view on here from most fans was that they were too expensive to bother with.

Depends whether you think you'll get to every game.
If you go to 10 out of the 12 you break even on walk ups
If you go to 11 out of the 12 you save about £3 per game
If you go to 12 out of the 12 you save about £6 per game

I suppose if you are thinking of potentially getting an ST next season, it's worth it to avoid the ridiculous new applicant tariff.

Approx 1,800 tickets still left for Boxing Day, but that means about 6,000 walk ups have gone.

Won't some of the segregated blocks be released to Boro fans - can't see 4k segregation for this game that would be around 11 blocks.

Looked at Block 55 in the South Stand and only half is available to buy. Lets see of the rest of the block is opened up.

Still around 1,650 tickets available to buy for Boro fans at present, which I guess will be sold over the next few days.

Sheff wed only getting a straight 2k, with at least 4k seats blocked off in the away end.
We'll end up turning away home fans with 2k unused seats.

Similar story last season boro backed down and gave wednesday the additional 500 tickets in the end

They've brought nearer 4k in the past when the away end was bigger

Burnley have been given an allocation of 2118 this must be the norm now. Im sure Sunderland got 2.5k last season

EDIT hull also got 2118 was told the game was 'all ticket' for away fans then were informed pay on the day was now available .. odd decision

Sheffield have lost 51 seats for some strange reason

I wonder if the excessive segregation is due to games like Coventry at home last season. Some of their idiot fans attempting to reach Boro fans in the East Stand.

Just booked two tickets. Couldn’t believe how few were left. If you are thinking of going get your tickets asap!

There must be a reason why the club do this re segregation. I can’t imagine they would literally reject the opportunity to increase ticket sales.

When you watch goals from other games stadiums like Hull's and Manchester City they have next to no segregation just a line of stewards and maybe a small barrier, wasnt Huddersfield similar last season where you could practically 'shake the hand' of an opposing supporter?
