Bournemouth v Forest

The wind is starting to settle a bit down south now. Still very gusty, but not as bad as it was just before lunch

A draw would be fine but there's nothing about a Forest win that should worry us. If we cannot comfortably finish in the playoffs from this position, we wouldn't be good enough to win them anyway.

If Bournemouth lose tonight and we win tomorrow, 6 points over 15 games is a deficit that we could make up. If Bournemouth win and we drop points tomorrow, 11 or 12 points is surely too big a gap. Therefore I'll take closing the gap to automatic promotion over building a gap to 7th place at this stage.

apparently all tweets thus far are untrustworthy, various things still being checked to see if game goes ahead. feel a little bit (not a lot, they're a horrible lot) for the travelling forest fans

Forest for me as it would damage Bournemouths confidence. Also, if we end up not catching Bournemouth, playing the Play Off against NF, they won’t be able to play Spence UTFB

Forest win for me. I'm extremely confident we're going to be play-offs at least because of our home form. A Forest win would momentarily take us out of the play-off positions but I'm confident we'd soon get back in there.

Forest win and Boro win tomorrow would leave us just 6 points behind Bournemouth.

Draw or forest. I know that sounds a bit strange as they are a direct playoff rival yet I genuinely think we have a chance of top 2..... And no I've not been drinking 😂

Absolute shambles. The Forest fans have been tweeting since last night asking for info prior to setting off.

Loads of tweets of fans in Bournemouth.

This hasn't just come out of the blue. It's been forecast for over a week. It could easily been called off yesterday.

That said you have to wonder how much influence sky have (a bit like our Sheff UTD game).

I really hope we play tomorrow, and can get some points on the board to shake up the top six. Psychologically it would be great to get Bournemouth looking back at us.

stadium damage apparently

Friday’s SkyBet Championship match between AFC Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest has been postponed for safety reasons following damage to Vitality Stadium caused by Storm Eunice.

Structural engineers have carried out an inspection of the stadium and have confirmed that the damage could pose a significant risk to supporters’ safety.
The ongoing impact of the storm means the damage cannot be repaired in time either to fulfil the fixture on Friday, or at a re-arranged time on Saturday.
The postponement was recommended by the club’s Safety Advisory Group.
A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course.
