Bournemouth Tickets - On Sale 4pm to 190+ Points

A Standard ST holder would have to go to five away games every season just to be treated as equal to a Gold ST holder who hasn't bothered with an away match since we got relegated.

I get what the club are doing with the scheme, and I don't know what the perfect solution is (probably because it doesn't exist) but I do think that a scheme primarily used for allocating away tickets needs to do more to reward attendance at away games.
I've never understood why buying a ticket for home games gets you 3 points and an away only 2 - that's something that could be looked at.

At the end of the day he difference between a Gold card holder and a standard season ticket is only 10 points - given the demographics of Gold card holders I'd imagine most Gold card holders do not go to many away games anyway and a number will (sadly) disappear each year anyway.

The system was imposed on us by the club with no involvement of fans - it would be appropriate I think that now the system has been in place for a few years there was a review of the whole process.

I'd guess it's just because the club makes no money from away match tickets in the league, and it's a minor encouragement for people to buy tickets to home matches.

The 3 points for home if I understand it correctly is that the club gets the gate receipts, so it is to encourage attendences to early cup rounds.

It becomes 20 points difference (over the 2 years) for my son, as he only has 70 a season with him being so young. That requires an additional 10 away games just to catch up. He has 176 now, but it would be very unrealistic for him to get to 190 - thats 50 points over the 2 seasons - 25 away games - that's almost half of them.

Im Gold and don't have 190!

I have a normal season ticket and have missed quite a few away games last season but still have 207 points..
Surprised Bournemouth wasnt more popular on a Good Friday.
Around 700 left still

Traffic will be very heavy. I live in North London but don’t fancy the drive even from here. Could get the train but equally that will be jam packed going to the coast.

Cheers for that mate . I've booked seats for the London from Boro but will try and book from Waterloo to Bournemouth now . Thanks

The club should create new Gold S/T holder every season - once someone has 20 full years on the card. A point for Rob Nichols to bring up with MFC.

To me we should have Gold S/T for young adults if they have done 20 years.

When you look at Boro's away followings there are a fair few over 50s.

The system of home games getting more points than away games was very much the result of pressure from home season card holders.

How was that pressure exerted then? The points system was implemented without consultation so was this a change that came before or after the points system went live?

It wasn't implemented without consultation, I vaguely remember responding to that survey in favour of it.

There were a lot of communications.
I can totally believe it in my experience of supporter meetings I have attended and also debates online, including this forum.

I meant that the actual details of the scheme were put in place with out consultation. At the time it was announced I had a meeting with the guy who was brought in as ticket office manager and he very much told me that the details of how the scheme worked had been decided by the club alone.
