He did an excellent job there last year. Wolves will do well to replicate things. Not sure how the players he bought last January will be feeling. Not a great time to replace your manager (a few days before the season kicks off).

I understand some of the 'reasons' for disliking GON, but to be honest they do come across as quite petty (which I realise, is part of the fun of being a footy fan). He's actually seems to be a very decent, grounded & unpretentious man, who the players seemed to really respect. He also has a decent coaching background at liverpool & bournemouth. I'm not in anyway saying he'll be a massive success in the near future, the wolves job will be incredibly hard, but I do find the slagging off a bit dismal!

I don't think it's petty to dislike a Boro player for deliberately getting suspended so he could go on holiday.
