Bournemouth game and Covid rules

I understood the club would be making an announcement this week?

I would imagine that we should be prepared to show our 'evidence' but don't be surprised if it isn't asked for.
Maybe a 1 in 10 type spot check.

I thought the plans need to be voted on in the House of Commons for it to become law. The way things are going there is a good chance it will not get a majority.
It will get a majority because the opposition benches will be supporting it.

Talk of needing not only 2 jabs for the covid passport but now a booster. Although it says probably early 2022 so people have sufficient time to get a booster.

They best not change it pre Xmas footy. My booster isn't until 3rd Jan😒

Yeah, they are trying to get everyone boosted by the end of the month, so can see that happening, it’s fair enough.

How do I prove I have had a lateral flow test?

Presume you have to pay for one where it can be verified or buy one to do at home and register it so your result (you send a photo of it) can be verified by the company selling it. All a farce anyway as if you want to ensure a negative result you don't don't stick swab anywhere and just put it in the liquid

A negative lateral flow test result will be OK. This can be on your Smart phone or a paper print out. The lateral flow tests are available at most pharmacies or GP surgeries - they are free. You need to record the result online. When you do you receive a text and email confirming your test result. People without vaccines need to go down this route. The tests are fairly easy to self complete.

Evidence of vaccine is from your NHS records. This can be accessed from a NHS App which needs to be downloaded and then there are a few fields of passwords and such like to get access to vaccine records to show as a QR code. Alternatively you can ring 119 (possibly wait 40 minutes) and get a copy sent to you in the post or by email/text. I have been told the NHS app only gives evidence of double vaccination, not the booster, but the requirement for attendance is only double vaccination at present.

At the Cardiff match we all had to show something to get entry - Did anyone have a problem?

The staff checking said there could be mobile phone signal problems at Cardiff Stadium which would be a problem. They recommended saving evidence screen as a screen shot on a phone to avoid having to rely on a signal. Again a paper copy as a back up is an insurance policy.

Why would you even contemplate fixing it? If you are worried about failing a Covid test you shouldn’t be going to the game. We all have to rely on people acting responsibly.

100% plan B gets passed today. Labour supporting will give them the numbers.

Must have been tempting for Starmer to vote against and see off Johnson but he's playing the long game. A new leader *should* get a poll boost which Labour will be obviously keen to avoid. Let them kick their own heads in, so to speak.

They spot checked everyone before Cardiff away. It took seconds to show your proof of a negative lateral flow test. If you couldn't then there was a little cabin where you could take a test.
You could cheat but actually it is surely simpler to take the test and get the result 15 mins later. The test takes 5 mins. Registering the result takes 5 mins. Lying or falsifying would not be worth it.

I heard on the radio this morning that anyone falsifying a lateral flow test result would be liable for a fine of up to £10,000. Probably not worth it just to see the Boro play

This. All you need really. It's only sensible to have a supply of lateral flow tests at home and to take them as a matter of routine.
