It was big John's 22nd birthday & only signed the day before from Sheff Weds
 
I was gonna shout out for Andy Payton. I was in the Holgate that night watching him race clear and calmly slot home.

Then 15-20 mins later carried off and out for months. So don't want a debut like that😕

Yanic Wildschut. He had some debut at Rotherham. He looked like an absolute 'weapon' quick / tall and powerful. So a great debut don't make a great signing😂

Andy Paytons debut v Bristol City was a saturday afternoon kickoff

I was at rotherham that day, yea cracking goal & thoughts of a big Boro future for him, then it just seemed to fall away
