How did it lose it's meaning?
I understand bringing and end to gestures in exchange for action.. but what is the action?
Shame on you!......I voted tory and didn't clap once..
All the clapping doesn't stop the NHS being privatised, all the badges, pins AND VOTES the brexit for was framed around saving the NHS and even the Covid shambles. But still.. they farm all of these contracts off to their mates, no matter what the time, cost, quality.. or if they are able to deliver at all.I'm with newyddion, what is the actual action that will be taken from this? Because to me this has been a big empty ego gesture made by someone high up that takes away from an actual solution to the issue. Clapping for the NHS was another one I thought was insulting, diverting away from something actually useful like free parking, a bonus of money or holidays for turning in 34 shifts in a row during the heat of the pandemic like my girlfriend did.
In short, enough of these vanity acts and provide something worthwhile and lasting.
