Boro Mayor Meltdown…

Maybe he should open an account on here to use as a stage to slag fellow council members off and settle scores in public. That seems to be the professional and mature way things are done in Berwick hills
He used to post on here and answer questions. Before the election I think it was.

Whilst not disagreeing or wanting to take anything away from your point. That DBS is only as good as the date it was conducted, if it is from a few years ago there is wiggle room in his point, not sure this is something you should use in this instance if it is not recent.
That being said Preston is crook.
The DBS is dated Feb 2023

The Lodger, maybe a public apology and a donation to the local labour party may help with no further action being taken? Just a thought.

Andy Preston did used to post on here. I don’t think he will be litter picking with Rob again anytime soon ? 😬

Is it not also plain wrong for Mr Preston to be labelled a crook then? Unless, of course, he does have a criminal record

A crook is a crook.
If they haven’t been caught or convicted they are still a crook.
The work Private Eye et al have done is compelling.

Preston can, of course, sue for libel if he wishes. He hasn’t; done that to Private Eye.

To be successful he would have to argue it has had an adverse impact on his reputation 😂😂😂

I'm aware of the Private Eye stories about the Tees Valley Mayor, but haven't seen any about the Middlesbrough Mayor. What do they say?

A crook isn't necessarily a criminal, it's a word to deceive someone that is dishonest, I.e crooked

Wanting to sit on the board or MDC and having to abstain from the vote because you own property in the area being developed fits that description imo, as does all the money wasted on design changes or claiming to live in Middlesbrough during his campaign and not a mansion 20 miles away

An honest person would have recused themselves without having to be told they had such an obvious conflict of interest as being a property developer who owns property in an area that is about to be developed.

Then again why do people think he wants to be mayor in the first place. Love of his fellow humans?

Seems strange to me that people find a negative in a local politician wanting to make his hometown successful.
And that they find it so hard to to believe anyone who's not in their favoured party might have honourable motives.

I mean that's definitely an interesting way of looking at it.

Have you seen how much money his unauthorised changes to building plans cost?

Do you think it was a coincidence he forgot about his properties in the MDC development zone?

Campaigning to retain the mayoral role then immediately running for it. Couldn't possibly have had a motive.
